First Sunday Family Service: Energetic All Age Worship with a Gospel Focus
At St. Mary's, every service is designed to welcome families, yet our First Sunday Family Service boasts a distinct quality. Where individuals of all generations come to worship, learn and have fun together.
We aim to keep services to under an hour, carefully crafting an assortment of activities; from science & craft to action & prayer, engaging all.

Children’s Church at St Mary's
Trailblazers is the name we give to our children’s group that meets during the main 10.30 am service at St Mary's Twyford, in term time. The children are aged from 3 – 11 years and there are some adult members too!
The first part of the morning we spend worshipping with our families and our church family in the main 10.30am service before we move into the Church Centre.
In Trailblazers, we take a look at a bible story or part of Christian life and have loads of fun with craft activities, games, drama and prayer. There’s even sometimes lego, playdooh or cooking. It’s a time when we can share our ideas and thoughts about all sorts of things as we love to chat!

Messy Church at St Nicholas Hurst
Come along to St Nicholas Church and join in the fun. Everything you need will be provided, along with some refreshments.
What is Messy Church?
Messy Church is a nationwide creative expression of Church, enabling all ages to come, to make, to eat, and to celebrate God.
Messy Church is an act of worship were we will seek to celebrate and recognise each person, each family, and the community and the God that we Serve.
During the service we will share, experience and tell stories about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and provide activites that allow us to respond creatively to the things that we see and hear.
It is not just a children’s Church - All are welcome to come and join in and there will be lots of different ways to get involved.
Why do Messy Church?
As part of our Churches mission into the community, this will enable us to share the Good News of God’s love in our village.
